Hello Carolina?
On June - 19 - 2008
The Carolina Hurricanes acquired the rights to left wing Darcy Hordichuk from the Nashville Predators on Thursday for a 2009 fifth-round draft pick.
If the Hurricanes fail to sign Hordichuk, who is an unrestriced free agent, prior to the start of the 2008-2009 season, they will receive the Predators’ fifth-round pick in the 2010 draft.

Welcome to Official Site of Darcy Hordichuk. Look around we have lots of my fights, photos, and more. See you in the penalty box...
Please sign him now carolina! Looking forward to new blood in the lineup!

Darcy, if you are reading this…..whatever trick Rutherford uses to get you to sign, don’t believe him: there is no poutine in Raleigh.
With that said, if a fair deal is thrown at you, please come on down to Carolina

Oh. My. Goodness. Darcy I am going to miss you so so so so so much. I am like your number one fan. Well your only fan. I shrieked so loud when I read the story my family thought someone had died. They did. You. I wish you the best of luck with Scott Walker and the Carolina Hurricanes.
I can not wait until the Nashville Predators play your Carolina Hurricanes. I will try to be there.
I hope you are able to keep up your Christian camps and positive Christian influences on young people in Carolina.
You have influenced me in a good way.
Best of luck.
P.S.- I still wish you could have spoken at my Christian school’s chapel. There were a lot of young people counting on you.
Lots of Love. Brittany.

Darcy, I hope that you do sign before too long because we need someone who has that edge when they step onto the ice. The Canes need and want you to protect our top guys. I personally can’t wait to hear the crowd at the RBC Center chanting “Chuk” after you have put the Crapitals and Rangers in their place with a lesson from Mr. Hodichuk.

Darcy…you would be a great fit with the Carolina Hurricanes!!! Stop waiting and put your John Hancock on the line. There’s a reason Francis and Wesley stuck around after retirement….classy well run franchise and Raleigh is a great place to live.

Hordi,
If you really read this. And this isn’t some sham site to BS the hockey fans.
It is very apparent the Canes want U. Bring your work ethic and ass kick’n abilities to the Raleigh.
Come on sign!!!!!

I was so disappointed to hear that Darcy wouldn’t sign with Carolina. He’d be a great fit with the rest of the team. Character guy who’ll stick up for his team mates, he’s just what we need in Carolina. Always been one of my favorite players but I never knew he was on their radar so when they acquired his rights I was so incredibly happy…only to find out days later he had no interest in playing here
